Injuries took their toll on QB’s last week. Gone are Matt Schaub and Kyle Orton who were both making strides towards becoming solid fantasy options. Ben Roethlisberger has a solid match-up this week, but may not be healthy. The Chiefs Tyler Thigpen makes a move and has a chance to establish some momentum going to next season in keeper leagues. He is not a great play this week, but still keep an eye out, another good week makes him a must grab. The biggest mover this week was Matt Ryan who has been very solid and gets the terrible Saints secondary. Chad Pennington and David Garrard also make the top ten and have outstanding match-ups this week.

  52. Warrick Dunn (Bucs) BYE

Most of the top tier backs are now healthy again. That leaves us with a very nice top tier of backs this week. Any of the top 20 should be a solid play this week and there are some of the best match-ups of the year at the top of this list. Edgerrin James was the biggest mover this week, but not in a good way. James may be off the list entirely next week, and he is not a great play this week. Ray Rice and Jamaal Charles both took huge movements up this week. They are both good plays this week, and should be decent plays for the rest of the year.

  56. Roy Williams (Cowboys) BYE

WR is starting to settle down a good bit and the top guys are becoming more and more consistent. This week’s top ten is essentially the same as last week’s except for the BYE week’s and Thur. game. Dwayne Bowe moves up a good bit this week thanks in large part to the emergence of Tyler Thigpen. Kevin Curtis makes a big move up this week, and Donnie Avery makes a big move down. A couple sleepers for this week would be Chris Chambers and Matt Jones. Both Jones and Chambers have solid match-ups and should have excellent weeks.

Tight Ends

  1. Antonio Gates (Chargers)
  2. Tony Gonzalez (Chiefs)
  3. Owen Daniels (Texans)
  4. Dallas Clark (Colts)
  5. Anthony Fasano (Dolphins)
  6. Greg Olsen (Bears)

  18. Kevin Boss (Giants)
  19. L.J. Smith (Eagles)
  20. Vernon Davis (49ers)
  21. Kellen Winslow (Browns) PLAYED THUR
  22. Daniel Graham (Broncos) PLAYED THUR
  23. Jason Witten (Cowboys) BYE
  24. Chris Cooley (Redskins) BYE
Owen Daniels has made a solid move into the top five at TE. Marcedes Lewis is also making a move into a starting spot this week and he should have a solid game against Detroit. Vernon Davis’s future is a big question in San Francisco going forward and the same holds true fantasy wise.

Kickers

  1. Nate Kaeding (Chargers)
  2. Joe Nedney (49ers)
  3. Rob Bironas (Titans)
  4. Stephen Gostkowski (Pats)
  5. Jason Elam (Falcons)
  6. Mason Crosby (Packers)
  7. David Akers (Eagles)
  8. Ryan Longwell (Vikings)
  9. Kris Brown (Texans)
  10. John Kasay (Panthers)
  11. Neil Rackers (Cards)

  18. John Carney (Giants)

  20. Matt Prater (Broncos) PLAYED THUR
  21. Shaun Suisham (Redskins) BYE
  22. Nick Folk (Cowboys) BYE
  23. Matt Bryant (Bucs) BYE

Kickers are all about the same at the end of the year, so it comes down to a week-by-week match up question. My favorite kicker to jump up this week is Joe Nedney. Nedney has had a solid year and the 49ers should be able to put up solid numbers against Arizona.

Defense/Special Teams

  1. TEN Titans
  2. JAX Jaguars
  3. PITT Steelers
  4. CAR Panthers
  5. BAL Ravens
  6. NY Giants
  7. SD Chargers
  8. MIA Dolphins
  9. PHI Eagles
  10. CHI Bears
  11. NY Jets
  12. BUF Bills
  13. GB Packers
  14. ARI Cardinals
  15. MN Vikings
  16. IND Colts
  17. NE Patriots
  18. HOU Texans
  19. ATL Falcons
  20. OAK Raiders
  21. SEA Seahawks
  22. STL Rams
  23. SF 49ers
  24. NO Saints
  25. DET Lions
  26. KC Chiefs
  27. CLE Browns PLAYED THUR
  28. DEN Broncos PLAYED THUR
  29. WASH Redskins BYE
  30. TB Bucs BYE
  31. DAL Cowboys BYE
  32. CIN Bengals BYE

Defenses change week to week more than anything else in fantasy football. The top ten defenses also have pretty good match-ups this week. The big sleepers for this week are the Dolphins and Jets. They both jump up into the top ten and should have top ten weeks against sub-par offenses.
