2008 Fantasy Football Week 10 Waiver Wire ReportEach week Pro Football Fans will be bringing you all our waiver wire report where we identify players who are more likely to be available using your waiver position to add to your team. While we can't be sure that individuals will be available in your league, you can use this as a guide for all of your fantasy football decision-making as you work toward a fantasy football league championship.
Matt Ryan QB (Falcons): Ryan has had a couple great weeks in a row. He is not an every week play in fantasy circles yet, but he is getting there quickly. He is a solid play against weaker opponents and a must grab in keeper leagues. Tyler Thigpen QB (Chiefs): For those who did not read last week, listen now, Thigpen can play. He is a must pickup for next year in keeper leagues and a solid play against weaker opponents right now. Thigpen has a chance to become a fantasy starter against almost everybody by the end of the year. Considering how well he is playing right now he could be pretty special long-term. Mewelde Moore RB (Steelers): Another waiver wire re-tread Moore is back in a must pick-up and play spot. Moore has been great when he has gotten the chance to play in the absence of Willie Parker. As long as Parker is out grab and play Moore. Todd Heap TE (Ravens): Surprisingly Heap had been dropped in a decent number of leagues and has been rather disappointing all season. Heap had a great game on Sunday and the way Joe Flacco has begun playing he could be on the way up. Joe Flacco QB (Ravens): More Matt Ryan light than Tyler Thigpen, Flacco has been solid the last few weeks. Flacco is another QB who you can pick up and play versus very weak opponents, but should view more as a keeper for next season. Brady Quinn QB (Browns): If he is still available, which I doubt, grab him. Quinn will be very good against most teams, and he should be solid against better teams. He is a definite keeper for next season and should be considered for a starting job right now if you are weak at QB.
Jerious Norwood RB (Falcons): Norwood has always been a home run hitter. Sunday he hit a big homer and that gave him a good week. Norwood is a pickup, but only as an emergency flex play. Norwood should not be viewed as an every week play. Kevin Walter WR (Texans): Walter has been getting better and better. He is going to get solid points every week playing opposite Andre Johnson teams are going to be forced to leave Walter more openings. Walter has been taking advantage of the opportunities given to him and is a solid WR3/Flex play and a decent play as a WR2 in deeper leagues. Mark Bradley WR (Chiefs): Bradley has been solid for the last couple weeks as Thigpen has gotten better. Bradley is getting opportunities much for the same reason Walter has, he plays opposite Dwayne Bowe, which opens up the field. Bradley was expected to be an impact WR coming out of Oklahoma and maybe he is putting it all together now. Pick him up and he can play as a WR3/Flex or even a WR2 in deep leagues. Bradley may be a solid number two by year’s end. Malcolm Floyd WR (Chargers): Floyd has emerged as a target the last couple weeks in San Diego with Chris Chambers out. Floyd is a solid play as a WR3/Flex until Chambers is healthy. After that it will take time to figure out his role in the offense, and the situation will require monitoring.
