Week four post-Brady. Peyton Manning cracks my top five despite having done very little this season to deserve that high a spot. Manning should be a good bet to have a big game this week against a rough Texans defense. Kurt Warner should bounce back from an awful week four against the Jets. Warner is at home and the Bills pass defense has some holes. Trent Edwards is the biggest climber this week and a must start. Edwards goes against that dreadful Cardinals secondary and has been solid all year, look for a very good game from Edwards. Aaron Rodgers health is the biggest question of the week. If Rodgers is healthy he can exploit a suspect Falcons secondary. The problem for fantasy owners is that if Rodgers plays, but is not 100 percent what is going to happen. I would keep a close eye on it, and play Rodgers unless you have a legitimate alternative.

Just like last week, if Brian Westbrook is healthy he should be in your lineup, if not Correll Buckhalter is a definite start. Marion Barber was a huge disappointment last week due to the lack of carries. The Cowboys will not make that mistake again. Against the lowly Bengals defense look for Barber to get the ball early and often to make up for last week. Matt Forte becomes the first rookie to crack the top ten as he continues to put up solid numbers and has a great match-up with the Lions. Steve Slaton also joins the top ten, and is a player I really like for the rest of the season. Lastly, rookie Jonathan Stewart continues to “split” carries with DeAngelo Williams, but Stewart has clearly been the more effective back. Stewart should continue to gradually assume a more exclusive role, especially at the goal line.

Greg Jennings is ranked in the top five for the first time, but it depends somewhat on the health of Aaron Rodgers. If Rodgers is healthy Jennings is a clear top five WR. If Rodgers is out Jennings is still a must play, but not a top five. Santana Moss cracks the top ten and with the progression of Jason Campbell should continue his excellent play. Lee Evans gets a new contract, and gets to go up against the Cards defense, watch out. Everything else at WR is pretty much the same, with additions of waiver wire wonder boy Lance Moore, and an intriguing chance for Steve Breaston to have an impact while Anquan Boldin is out. Also, I am extremely down on Roy Williams (Lions). Play him if you must, but do not be shocked when he fails to impress.
Tight Ends
- Jason Witten (Cowboys)

Same old same old at TE. The best sleeper this week should be Owen Daniels. Daniels should be able to exploit a Colts secondary that is missing Bob Sanders, and Daniels may be becoming Matt Schaub’s safety valve.

- Martin Gramatica (Saints)
- Shayne Graham (Bengals)
- Sebastian Janikowski (Raiders) BYE
Kickers are all about the same at the end of the year, so it comes down to a week-by-week match up question. My favorite kicker to jump up this week is Matt Bryant, who should get plenty of opportunities against the Denver defense. Bryant was nothing short of amazing last week, and he should continue a great run this week against the Broncos.

Defenses change week to week more than anything else in fantasy football. The Titans defense looks like the best defense in the NFL right now and has an outstanding match-up with Baltimore this week. The Cowboys have a good chance against the Bengals, especially if Carson Palmer does not play. The defense that should surprise some this week is New England. I like Mike Martz and J.T. O’Sullivan’s offense in San Francisco, but Bill Belicheck is coming off of a bye week and should shut down the 49ers.
