2008 Fantasy Football Week 6 Waiver Wire ReportEach week Pro Football Fans will be bringing you all our waiver wire report where we identify players who are more likely to be available using your waiver position to add to your team. While we can't be sure that individuals will be available in your league, you can use this as a guide for all of your fantasy football decision-making as you work toward a fantasy football league championship. Patrick Cobbs RB (Dophins): With the Dolphins new offense a bunch of RB’s get into the mix. This week it was Cobbs, who had a huge. Cobbs is not a great bet to keep it up going forward. His points this week were just too fluky. He scored twice on just three catches amassing 138 yards.
Derek Anderson QB (Browns): Anderson had been dropped in a large percentage of leagues. Monday night’s game against the Giants Anderson looked more like the Browns QB from last season. Anderson has struggled mightily this season and the hope is that Monday night will turn everything around. He should be picked up in all leagues and played against weak defenses from here on out.
Vincent Jackson WR (Chargers): Jackson had a big week against the Pats Sunday night. He looked as good as he has looked since week one and the Chargers offense is starting to role. Jackson is a solid flex if you do not have a quality RB against weaker defenses. He can occasionally be played as WR2 if you have a bye week.
Patrick Crayton WR (Cowboys): Crayton had a week more in line with what we expected at the start of the year. The question is how his numbers will be affected by the loss of Tony Romo. Crayton should be open as teams figure to look heavily at Terrell Owens and force Brad Johnson to make multiple reads. Crayton is a decent play as a flex WR even without Romo.
Dominic Rhodes RB (Colts): Filling in for a banged up Joseph Addai, Rhodes had an excellent game. Rhodes will probably go back to a bench role in the next week or two, and Rhodes is a solid play until Addai comes back, after that Rhodes goes back to a backup.
Malcolm Floyd WR (Chargers): Floyd was another WR who had a good week against the Pats. The Chargers offense has really been rolling. Floyd may have decent weeks here and there, but he is not worth picking up.
Warrick Dunn RB (Bucs): Dunn had a flashback day rushing for 115 yards on just 22 carries against Carolina on Sunday. He failed to get into the end zone, yet he still had solid points. Dunn is probably a solid flex play against weaker run defenses, and if he begins to get the bulk of the carries more often he could develop into a more valuable fantasy RB.
Sammy Morris RB (Pats): The Pats running back situation is going to continue to be a more important going forward as they must run the ball more often. Morris is going to be the beneficiary of more goal line carries and should be worth a look as a bye week flex play.
Mercedes Lewis TE (Jaguars): Lewis has been decent the last couple weeks. He has scored in two consecutive games and may be looked at as more of a red zone threat. Lewis is worth a look as a bye week TE play.
