2008 Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Report

 Add to My Yahoo!

Each week Pro Football Fans will be bringing you all our waiver wire report where we identify players who are more likely to be available using your waiver position to add to your team. While we can't be sure that individuals will be available in your league, you can use this as a guide for all of your fantasy football decision-making as you work toward a fantasy football league championship.

Mewelde Moore RB (Steelers): Moore had a huge week scoring three times and rushing for 120 yards in place of the injured Willie Parker. Parker was supposed to play in week seven, but suffered a mid-week setback. Parker will be questionable again this week, and the Steelers play the Giants. Those facts add up to Moore getting a fair number of carries, but probably not the same success regardless of whether or not Parker plays. Moore should be owned and monitored this week. If Parker cannot go he is a decent flex play or bye week RB2 play. If Parker goes then he should only be used as an emergency flex play.

Dominic Rhodes RB (Colts): Rhodes did just what we expected, a very good game against a bad run defense. He should be owned and played in all leagues until Joseph Addai comes back.

Antonio Bryant WR (Bucs): Bryant was excellent Sunday night against a bad Seattle secondary. He did manage to put up those numbers against the best DB Seattle has in Marcus Trufant. Bryant caught six balls for 115 yards and a TD. With Joey Galloway out and the Bucs throwing the ball more and more expect him to be solid for the near future. He is a solid flex (if you have no better RB), and a capable WR2.

Dan Orlovsky QB (Lions): Orlovsky’s numbers were not great by NFL QB standards. By fantasy standards they were respectable. Either way, stay far, far, away from Orlovsky.

Josh Morgan WR (49ers): Morgan had five catches for 86 yards and a TD. He is part of an offense that has flashes of ability, but not consistency. Morgan has a shot at another good week coming up against the Seahawks. However, Morgan is really nothing more than a one time emergency pickup player, but monitor for changes in his status.

Marty Booker WR (Bears): Nice receiver, solid game, but nothing to get excited about or bother with making a move on for fantasy purpose.

Ahman Green RB (Texans): In a blast from the past week Ahman Green rushed for 62 yards on fourteen carries and added a TD. Green will probably get some carries from here on out, but Slaton is their top back and that is not changing. Green is worth a look in an emergency situation for a flex or RB2.

Donnie Avery WR (Rams): Avery has had a couple of solid weeks in a row, and the Rams offense looks better than it had with Scott Linehan. All of that adds up to Avery looking like a guy who should be picked up and looked at as a flex or WR2 depending on the match-up. Avery is a guy to keep an eye on and he has a chance to be a solid flex play the rest of the year.
