Week seven post-Brady. Matt Schaub jumps way up this week, thanks largely to his solid performance the last few games. On top of his solid numbers he is playing a terrible Bengals defense. This week is loaded with great QB match-ups. Brett Favre should bounce back against the Chiefs. Jason Campbell has been outstanding and he gets the Lions. Trent Edwards came back last week with a solid performance and gets Miami. Matt Cassel even makes an appearance as a play in deep leagues. Peyton Manning does not make that list. Manning has been an enormous disappointment all year, and he is going to have to win me back. The sleeper for this week is Jeff Garcia. The Bucs get a terrible Cowboys secondary and a team that is reeling. I do not believe that Wade Phillips calling the defensive plays is going to help that much.

Clinton Portis has been outstanding all year, and that should continue against the awful Lions. Similar to QB’s this week RB is loaded with great match-ups. The player taking the biggest jump is Sammy Morris. Morris had a great week and assuming he is healthy he has another good match-up with St. Louis. If Morris cannot go then owners should pull and consider playing Kevin Faulk and BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Cedric Benson is on my list for the first time and he has a decent shot at a solid week against Detroit. Keep an eye on Pittsburgh, Mewelde Moore is a play, but only if Willie Parker is still out.

Andre Johnson gets the top spot this week. Johnson joins an offense that is improving and plays a terrible Bengals secondary, a great formula for success. The same great match-ups abound at WR that are at QB and RB. The big sleeper at WR this week is Antonio Bryant. Bryant had a huge Sunday night game against the Seahawks, and he gets another favorable match-up this week against Dallas. Ride Bryant while he is hot, it will not last forever. Anquan Boldin is back, which means monitoring for his health and Steve Breaston. If Boldin is fully healthy and ready then Breaston becomes a mediocre flex play and an emergency bye week WR2.
Tight Ends
- Antonio Gates (Chargers)
- Chris Cooley (Redskins)
- Jason Witten (Cowboys)
- Tony Gonzalez (Chiefs)
- Owen Daniels (Texans)
- Dallas Clark (Colts)

- Daniel Graham (Broncos) BYE
- Donald Lee (Packers) BYE
- Greg Olsen (Bears) BYE
Biggest change at TE in a long time as Jason Witten falls to number three. I would not be shocked to see him have a big week, as Brad Johnson should look to him as an outlet in key situations. The biggest sleeper for this week is L.J. Smith who should have an excellent day against Atlanta. Also, I still really like John Carlson, especially against the 49ers.
Kickers
- Nate Kaeding (Chargers)
- John Kasay (Panthers)
- Matt Bryant (Bucs)
- Rob Bironas (Titans)
- Stephen Gostkowski (Pats)

- Robbie Gould (Bears) BYE
- Ryan Longwell (Vikings) BYE
- Matt Prater (Broncos) BYE
Kickers are all about the same at the end of the year, so it comes down to a week-by-week match up question. My favorite kicker to jump up this week is not just one guy but several. You can choose from Shaun Suisham, John Kasay, Stephen Gostkowski, Kris Brown, and Joe Nedney.

Defenses change week to week more than anything else in fantasy football. There are numerous good offensive match-ups this week, and at the same time the defenses also feature good match-ups. The top eight defenses this week all feature quality defenses, as well as good match-ups. Several defenses jump up this week, including two into the top ten, the Bills and Jets. Both have very favorable match-ups. The Patriots proved that they can still play defense against quality offenses by blowing out the Broncos, and this week they get the better but still weak Rams. The sleeper defense for this week is Oakland. Oakland gets the Ravens in a game that should end up being pretty low scoring overall, and the Raiders have a great shot at being one of the top defenses this week due to the match-up.
