Miami’s revenge on Mark Sanchez

The Miami Dolphins visited the New York Jets at home this past Sunday.  Last time these two teams met the Jets embarrassed the Dolphins at home, this week Miami returns the favor with a win at the New Meadow Lands Stadium.  A great defensive effort on both sides, Miami comes out victorious by a slim score of 10 to 6.

The game was hard watch on the offensive side of the ball, as both teams put up dismal outputs.  Quarterbacks Chad Henne and Mark Sanchez were both held under 50% completion on their passes.  Along with the bad performances of the teams’ Quarterbacks, the teams’ running backs had days to forget about.  All of the Jets, and Dolphins running backs were held to under 4.0 yards per carry on the day.  The only touchdown of the day was a 6 yard TD pass from Chad Henne to Brandon Marshall in the first quarter.

The Defenses shined Sunday.  There was a total of 11 sacks throughout the day, 6 for Miami and 5 for New York.  Dolphin’s cornerback Nolan Carroll will remember this game for awhile, not only was he tripped during a punt by the Jets strength and conditioning coach; he also caught the games only interception.  Dolphin’s punter Brandon Fields stepped it up in a game that would rely on field position hitting 10 punts for a whopping 564 yards.  Fields continually hit punts down in Jets territory all game giving them all sorts of problems

The 7-6 Miami Dolphins are still fighting their way into the AFC playoff picture, and things get easier this Sunday as the Buffalo Bills head down south to see them at Sun life Stadium.  Every week the Bills fight and this team is better than their 3-10 record shows.  Things could go both ways, but my prediction is another solid defensive outing by the Dolphins and Cameron Wake will add to his league leading sack total against a weak Bills offensive line, Miami should come out with the win.
