Kansas City Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt expressed his support for an upcoming NFL owners vote to expand the regular season from 16 games to 18 games beginning with the 2012 season.  The change might include expanding roster sizes and the number of players who can dress on game day in an effort to gain approval from the NFL Players Association.

Injury prone rookie tight end Tony Moeaki snagged a 70 yard touchdown bomb from Matt Cassel while working with the first unit in Wednesday nights' practice.

Veteran fullbacks Mike Cox and Tim Castille appear locked in battle for the #1 spot with no assurance that the club will carry two fullbacks on their active roster.

The Chiefs wrapped up their first ever training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, MO on Thursday with both sides calling it a total success.  The camp drew more than 60,000 fans through the gates over three weeks of practices.  “I couldn’t have been happier with the entire operation, especially for the first time going through it,” said Chiefs Head Coach Todd Haley.  “My hat goes off to all the people involved, especially the guys here that got this place ready and had it running like we’d been here for years."

KC wrapped up the week with a walk-through at Arrowhead & are currently on their way to Tampa Bay where they will tangle with the Buccaneers on Saturday at 3:30pm Eastern Standard Time in their 2nd pre-season game.  Rookie Defensive Back Javier Arenas, who attended nearby Robinson High School before becoming a first-team All-American cornerback at the University of Alabama, will be the pride of Port Tampa as his homecoming will be with an NFL team.  "We have a tight-knit community and a tight-knit school. To see Javy making it like this, our kids are so excited. Most of them have never seen a professional football player up close. Now it's a guy they know. And it's no fluke." said his Robinson High Offensive Coordinator Rob Burns.

Dwayne Bowe watchers are hopeful for some production in Tampa Bay from their fourth year receiver who came to camp 25 pounds lighter than last year and is refusing to speak to the media.  Bowe is widely expected to finally show that he is worthy of being the Chiefs go to #1 receiver, at least by the fans of the team.
