Players who need a change of uniform
This article is dedicated to all those players who have possibly worn out their welcome with the teams they are on. For all those who have been under appreciated, under utilized, and under paid (maybe not). This is also for those who have just given up on their team, decided that what they want is more important than what the team needs, and those who just have basically given up. Now chances are you may see one or two names on this list that have given up and want out of town, but there are also those on this list that have stuck it out and it is just time to go. So we want to look at the players in the NFL that may need to have a change of venue on Sundays:
Those who have stuck it out: Steve Smith- WR- Carolina Panthers Smith has been disgruntled at times, he has been a terrible teammate, and he has been explosive but you can’t deny he is an incredible talent and he has remained in Carolina through thick and thin but it is really time for him to go.
Kevin Kolb- QB- Philadelphia Eagles Kolb did all that he needed to do in Philadelphia he waited his turn and did all he needed to do to be the starter, enter Michael Vick. With the emergence of Vick in a young Eagles offense, Kolb is now expendable and I think he will do well in another uniform.
Roy Williams- WR- Dallas Cowboys Fact is Williams did not put up the numbers the Cowboys had hoped for, so what happens they go out and make Miles Austin the go-to receiver and draft big name rookie Dez Bryant. Sign “Get out of town Roy” it is time for Williams to leave Dallas and find his place as a solid receiver elsewhere.
Those who gave it up: Albert Haynesworth- DT- Washington Redskins Yes we have all heard about Albert, his lack of discipline, his disregard for team, his fights with coaches, etc… the list goes on and on. The sad thing is what players don’t realize (like Albert) when you do this to one team, it trickles down to other teams and they believe that it could happen where ever you go. Haynesworth will have a difficult time finding a suitor for his services, but he needs out of Washington.
Vince Young- QB- Tennessee Titans How is it that a national champion quarterback can create so much friction on a team with the longest tenured coach? Easy, just ask Vince. He single handedly disrespected his coach and his team not once but twice. Young has struggled with finding himself and now he may struggle with finding a team, with all the crazy things that happened in Tennessee, good luck finding someone to take a chance. Someone will.
Carson Palmer- QB- Cincinnati Bengals Nothing like demanding a trade or threaten to retire, nothing says I am done like this type of statement. Palmer has struggled to say the least with the Bengals, he has had the weapons in place from T.O., to Ochocinco, to Benson, to Shipley, etc… they just can’t seem to get the job done. Palmer wants out and when you make it known to the fans and your teammates it becomes hard to win them over again. It is time to find a new town, Palmer can be relevant question is where?
