Super Bowls past for Steelers and Packers

 

As we prepare for Super Sunday in the largest stadium in the NFL, it seems only fitting that the two teams with storied past will meet for this years championship. The Steelers and the amazing Super Bowl runs in the past and the Packers with more championships than any team square off in a legendary matchup. In this article we want to take a look at Super Bowls past for both the Packers and the Steelers, to see how these teams have become two of the best in the NFL over the years.

The Packers have appeared in four Super Bowls and have only lost one in their history here is the rundown of Super Bowls past:


Super Bowl I- January 15, 1967

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers

Result: Packers 35, Chiefs 10

 

Super Bowl II- January 14, 1968

Oakland Raiders vs. Green Bay Packers

Site: Miami Orange Bowl

Result: Packers 33, Raiders 14

 

Super Bowl XXXI- January 26, 1997

New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers

Site: Louisiana Superdome

Result: Packers 35, Patriots 21

 

Super Bowl XXXII- January 25, 1998

Denver Broncos vs. Green Bay Packers

Site: Qualcomm Stadium

Result: Packers 24, Broncos 31

The Steelers have proven that year after year they continue to reload and the franchise has a legendary past in the big game, winning six Super Bowls:

 

Super Bowl IX- January 12, 1975
