Three rookies in the NFL that will make the difference
Let’s face it all NFL teams are looking for the next big thing, the next big rookie phenom that will make a difference on their team. There have been many rookies that have been drafted number 1 that have made an instant impact and become franchise players. Those are the guys (most of them) that are no-brainers they are the spotlight players coming into the draft, but those late round gems can sometimes surprise you and make a huge difference when you least expect it. In this article we want to look at three NFL rookies that will make an instant impact on their teams this season, not necessarily the number one overall pick but playmakers that will contribute immediately. These players are not late rounders but they will make things happen this season in the NFL this season.
Buffalo Bills-RB-C.J. Spiller Spiller coming from Clemson was an electrifying player for the Tigers. He was the do it all running back that could make a huge difference on offense or on special teams. Spiller was drafted by Buffalo and has already made instant impact in the preseason with some stellar runs. Spiller has the opportunity to do big things in Buffalo, with an average receiving corps and a quarterback that struggles you can rest assured that Spiller will get plenty of touches on the field and the Bills will need him to do what he did while at Clemson, be the all everything back that can take it to the house every time he touches the ball.
Dallas Cowboys-WR-Dez Bryant The controversial Dez Bryant while at Oklahoma State brings himself to the Dallas Cowboys where it seems the controversy followed him (Roy Williams and shoulder pads incident), as we all know there are many things that these players do in college that never leaves them, but I think Bryant is a different breed, he has since moved forward and is ready to play. Bryant is a very hard working wide receiver, he loves the game of football and is very hungry it has been a while since he has played football and he is ready to make an impact. Fact is with the weapons that the Cowboys have it will be difficult for defenses to double team anyone making it beneficial for Bryant. Bryant is a big wide receiver that has great hands and good speed, he will make a difference for the Cowboys and it could be huge.
San Diego Chargers-RB-Ryan Mathews A strong, fast running back Mathews fits into the Chargers scheme perfectly but as we all know replacing a legend is a difficult task but it can be rewarding (ask Aaron Rodgers). Mathews is a solid fit and he can make things happen on the field when he played at Fresno State he made big things happen. A very humble and passionate player Mathews will make a big difference on an already stacked Chargers team. I look for Mathews to be the possible Rookie of the year this season in the NFL as he contributes to the Chargers quest for a championship.
