A look back at some 2010 NFL records and milestones
In the 2010 season there were many records and milestones that were broken or on the verge of being broken. The NFL is full of talented players that look to make big plays every Sunday and they make it look easy when doing it. In this article we want to take a look back at last season’s more memorable records and milestones that were broken: RECORDS: Consecutive passes without and interception: 335 by Tom Brady (previously Bernie Kosar 308) Tom Brady for the New England Patriots in the 2010 had an amazing year throwing the football on the field. It was amazing to see him pass over 300 times without an interception.
Consecutive games with no interceptions and at least 2 touchdown passes: 9 by Tom Brady (previously Don Meredith 6) Again Tom Brady really put in work on the field of play as he gave his team the best possible chance to win by being efficient and productive.
Consecutive starts to start a career: 208 by Peyton Manning (previously Gene Upshaw) Manning is the picture of determination and stamina as he has not missed a start to begin his NFL career. In that it is a credit to his offensive line throughout the years as he has not been sacked often.
Kicks returned for touchdowns in a career: 14 by Devin Hester (previously Brian Mitchell 13) Devin Hester might possibly be the most electrifying kick returner to ever play in the NFL. Hester is a dominant presence on the football field and can change the dynamics of a game at any time.
Worst record to make the playoffs: (7-9) Seattle Seahawks (82 Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions) The Seahawks did struggle throughout the season and it seemed very unfortunate that they, with a losing record would make the playoffs while others that were a few games above .500 did not. The Seahawks put all that talk to rest when they handled the New Orleans Saints in the playoffs.
MILESTONES:
Brett Favre: - First quarterback to throw for over 70,000 yards in a career. - First to throw for 500 career touchdowns - First to attempt 10,000 career passes
Oakland Raiders first team since 1970 to go undefeated in the division and miss the playoffs Green Bay Packers became the first team since 1962 to never trail a single game by more than 7 points at any time.
