Bengals Final Roster Updates

The Bengals have made several roster moves today, and the most notable is the adding of former Patriot's WR Brandon Tate. Tate is a specialist in returning kickoffs as he finished 6th in the NFL last year in kickoff return TD's with 2, one being against the Bengals for 97, and another one for 103. Tate, a third-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, caught 24 passes for 432 yards and three TD's in 16 games, including 10 starts in 2010 for the 14-2 New England Patriots. He should compete with Andre Caldwell for the 4th WR spot. Tate is also signed through next season when Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell are both free agents.

The Bengals have also have waived WR Quan Cosby, TE Chase Coffman, and C Reggie Stephens. They've claimed G Mike McGlynn and TE Mickey Shuler off waivers.

As for the practice squad, it will consist of OT Matthew O'Donnell, DT Jason Shirley, LB DeQuin Evans, CB Brandon Ghee, WR Andrew Hawkins, QB Dan LeFevour, and FB James Devlin. Now that the roster appears set, the Bengals can focus on the upcoming NFL season as they take on their division rival Cleveland Browns this Sunday. WHO DEY!
