Best combinations in the NFL

In the NFL nowadays there are many combos that can top the list of best in the league, but I want you to understand it is not just a quarterback to wide receiver combinations now it is QB to TE, DE to LB, RB to RB, etc… A good combination means they can be a game changing duo at any time whether on offense or defense. These combinations are some of the best in the league and we want to highlight just a few:

Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney- Defensive Ends- Indianapolis Colts

It is very difficult to prepare for one super defensive end but if you are an offense or better yet a quarterback imagine having to prepare for two of the best pass rushers in the league. Mathis and Freeney feed off of one another and if you double team one then the other will create havoc in the offensive backfield.

Matt Ryan and Roddy White- Quarterback and Wide Receiver- Atlanta Falcons

I picked these guys because at any stage of the game, it can change with them on the field. They are both young and upcoming players that have the Falcons on the right track to a Super Bowl championship.

Phillip Rivers and Antonio Gates- Quarterback and Tight End- San Diego Chargers

No doubt that Rivers has a cannon for an arm and the Chargers love to throw the ball deep, but it seems that when in doubt Gates is the out. Antonio Gates has established himself as one of the top tight ends in the NFL and Rivers has full confidence in him and it shows on the field.

Tom Brady and Wes Welker- Quarterback and Wide Receiver- New England Patriots

Brady has established himself as an elite quarterback that can win with just about anyone catching the ball but Wes Welker is the go to receiver. Welker, much like Gates, is not afraid to go across the middle and make the big play for his team. All the more impressive, Welker is one of the smallest receivers in the NFL but what he lacks in size he makes up for in toughness.

Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson- Quarterback and Wide Receiver- Philadelphia Eagles

Likely the most electrifying duo in the NFL with Vick’s strong arm and ability to run and Jackson’s break away speed it is really difficult for any defense to handle these two. If you play the Eagles you can rest assured that the deep ball is always a threat.
