It was a case of a different week, a different quarterback and it was still the same end product, a disappointing Browns loss. Patrick Peterson returned a punt for 32 yards in overtime and then Skelton threw long to Larry Fitzgerald, which set up Jay Feely for the game winning field goal. The Cardinals stormed to their third overtime win in their last seven games, all three coming at home.

The Cardinals who started the season poorly improved to 7-7, meaning they have won 6 of their last 7 games, showing they might finally be building a good team around Fitzgerald. The decent performance kept Arizona's slim playoff chances alive.

Colt McCoy was absent as Seneca Wallace took his place and likewise Skelton took the place of Kolb. Wallace was 18 of 31 for 226 yards, one pass going 76 yards for a touchdown to rookie Greg Little. Skelton won the quarterback battle as he completed 28 of 36 pass attempts for 313 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

Some noted improvements were made by Cleveland, as Greg Little caught five passes for his career highest 131 yards and Peyton Hillis rushed for 99 yards, showing the Browns offensive weapons are starting to develop some good stats.

The Browns had won the overtime coin toss and eventually Maynard punted, to the talented rookie Peterson who has a record tying four punt touchdown returns this season.

Peyton Hillis had scored a 1 yard touchdown run on the first drive of the games and Dawson converted a 44 yard field goal, which meant the Browns had a 10-0 second quarter lead. Although Cleveland made some noticeable improvements, the coaches will be asking for a better effort in the last two games of the season as they desperately seek to at least equal their record of last year under Mangini.
