Clark ’s Questions

My grandfather and I do not have much in common, but we can talk about the NBA for hours. Everything sports last for generations: from the interest to the legacies. One of the great things about professional sports is the tradition. However, too often positive changes are left undone, because we must preserve this tradition. Here are some things that should be changed and some questions that should be asked.

Why does only soccer have advertisements on their jerseys?

European soccer teams make millions annually from advertisements on their jerseys. The NBA should do the same thing. I understand preserving the tradition and the jerseys. But if I had to choose between advertisements on jerseys or teams being so poor that there is no season; then I don’t care if the Celtics have Viagra ads on their jerseys; as long as it means no lockout.

Why are there no cheerleaders in baseball?

If chess matches were televised, even they would have cheerleaders. Do hot girls really hurt anything?

When will there finally be some sort of playoff in college football?

Come on…

How is there still a WNBA?

I am all for equal rights. I even agree with Title IX. But the WNBA, come on. Has anyone ever watched one of their games? I don’t even know when their season is. Did you know that the NBA owners give millions annually to the WNBA? Is it a charity? The NBA owners need to make smarter business decisions and make some money, so we can have a NBA season.

Why does college baseball use aluminum bats?

I hate that ping sound.

Why are TD celebrations a 15 yard penalty?

The NHL allows fighting just to increase ratings. The NFL doesn’t allow anything.

What happened to slamball?

I still want to try it.

How come only the Green Bay Packers are owned by the fans?

It worked so well for one organization, so it cannot be tried for another team? How many lockouts would there be if the fans owned the teams?

Will the Utah Jazz ever change their name?

We all know there is no Jazz in Utah; and their jerseys suck. How about the Utah Undead or the Utah Umbatu or the Utah No Jazz or the Utah Unfriendly Unicorns; those teams would have some sweet jerseys.

Why is there a kicker position in every fantasy football league?

This is such an unimportant roster spot that you are considered a retard if you don’t wait until the last round to draft one. I usually don’t even draft a kicker; instead I wait until the last week before the season to eventually sign one. I take a kicker on a good offense in a good climate or domed stadium. When I sign kicker I look at those fantasy projections, however those are calculated. Does anyone research kickers?

Why do NFL players agree to be on the Madden cover?

I am staying away from Peyton Hillis is my fantasy leagues.
