Dolphins lose, fall to 0-3

Miami was dominant until the last minute when Colt McCoy threw a 14 yard Td pass to Mohamed Massaqoui with 43 seconds left on the clock. "We need one drive," McCoy recalled telling them. "One drive and we can win this thing."

Apart from that last drive, Cleveland were terrible on offense. McCoy was missing receivers left, right and center, until that last drive when he went 9 for 13 for 80 yards” We played like garbage for the most part of the day," McCoy said. "As ugly as it was, it was a huge win for us."

The Cleveland offense started on their own 5 yard line and worked their way up the field for a score.

"My best throw of the day," McCoy said. "Mo did a nice job and got that guy [Wilson] to bite just a little bit. He wasn't that open, but in the NFL, when they're like that, you just gotta make a good throw. Mo did a great job of getting his feet in. It was a great feeling."

Cleveland converted 2 key fourth down plays to keep the drive alive.

With the Dolphins in San Diego and New York next, the Dolphins needed to win to ease the pressure on Tony Sparano, whose tenure must be coming to an end soon.” They have to believe we're going to win," he said. "I do believe the group in that room believes we're going to win. All that being said, we're 0-3. That's what we have to show for it."

The Dolphins kicked a field goal which put them up 16-10 and gave the Browns the ball.

McCoy ended the day with 19 completions for 210 yards and 2 TD's and 1 pick. Henne ended with also 19 completions for 255 yards, 1 TD and also 1 pick.

After the Browns scored, the Dolphins got the ball to midfield courtesy of a horse collar tackle and over celebrating. But Miami's QB threw three straight incompletions before he was picked by Adams on a pass intended for Brandon Marshall.

"It starts with believing you can win," Henne said. "We have to put the right mental attitude out there, knowing we are going to win. If you have the right attitude, you're more confident in yourself. We're going to find out what kind of team this is."

It's a sickening loss for the Dolphins, but they must regroup before the season is lost. I wouldn't be surprised if Sparano is fired by the end of the week. Hopefully Henne can keep improving. Who knows, he may be the best QB in the league to not win a ball game.
