After Chad Henne threw a 60 yard TD pass to Brandon Marshall, the Dolphins offense self-destructed. The Dolphins were penalized 11 times for 76 yards and Tampa were penalized 15 times for 135 yards.’ We were getting in our own way' Miami tight end Anthony Fasano said after the game.

Miami coach Tony Sparano said the Dolphins self-destructed in the game. "Not a little bit, a lot," the coach said.

"There were penalties, minus plays, and a couple of rushing attempts that put us behind the sticks."

The Dolphins took the lead in the first quarter when Henne threw the ball to Brandon Marshall. Marshall showed strength and power to catch the ball. Marshall made the catch inside the Tampa Bay 35, managed to stay in Bounds before cutting back toward the middle past safety Cody Grimm. He stiff-armed linebacker Quincey Black to remain on his feet and get into the end-zone for a 7-0 lead

That's definitely a confidence booster out there, that we can put the ball up and let him go get it and make some big plays out there' Henne said. Henne played into the third quarter and went 10-13 175 yards, 1TD and he was sacked 3 times. Marshall ended the night with 2 receptions for 90 yards.

On the other hand, Josh Freeman ended the night 12-23 149 yards. Freman was nearly picked off 3 times in the game and 1 of them was nullified by a penalty. Freeman missed several receivers but ended on a high note with a 6 play, 54 yard Td which tied the game.

"He's way ahead of where he was at this time last year," Morris said.

"I think we're right where we need to be," Freeman added, assessing the progress of the offense. "I missed a couple of throws. ... That comes with getting more and more game reps and getting in more of a rhythm, but that's nothing I'm really concerned about."

In the second quarter, the Bucs and Dolphins traded field goals. But the key play was when Marshall fumbled the ball after a 30 yard catch-and-run which lead to Tampa's Td before half time

Neither team scored in the third, but the Dolphins added a field goal early in the fourth to take a slender 13-10 lead.

But the game was won when third-string quarterback Rudy Carpenter capped a fourth-quarter scoring drive with a 7-yard TD pass to Nathan Overbay with 3:11 remaining, which gave the Bucs a 17-13 win over the Miami Dolphins.
