Dolphins finally come up big in K.C.
Week 9. Who would have thought it would have taken the Miami Dolphins this long to win a football game and the way they won it was astonishing. 31-3
The only negative point from this win is the Dolphins have diminished their chances of drafting Andrew Luck from Stanford. But apart from that, the Dolphins were near enough perfect.
The Dolphins never looked like they would lose after Marshall caught the TD pass in the third quarter which put the Dolphins up 21-3.
The Dolphins went into half time with a deserved lead of 14-3 and they never looked back in the fear of a Kansas revival which never came.
The heat also came off Tony Sparano for the time being. "I'm just happy for the guys in our locker room," Sparano said. "All I've wanted to do for seven weeks is see these guys smile." And there was plenty to smile about.
For the first time this season a Miami Dolphins quarterback didn't throw a pick. Matt Moore threw for 244 yards and a career best 3 TD's and Reggie Bush ran for 92 yards and a score.
"We had a couple of big plays, which kind of lit the fire," Moore said. "You make a couple of big plays early and there's no telling what can happen." Two of Moore's TD passes were to Anthony Fasano who caught the Touchdown passes and finished the day with 38 yards receiving.
Brandon 'the beast' Marshall also had 8 catches for 106 yards and 1 TD.

"This is all about the players," Sparano said. "These guys did a super job all week long of putting all the garbage behind them.
Matt Moore on the other hand threw for 253 yards even though the Dolphins secondary were without Vontae Davis and Nolan Carrol.
The Chiefs coming into this game were on a four game winning streak. "They executed and we didn't," Cassel said. "We were able to put together some drives, but we weren't able to sustain those drives offensively. We have to do a better job of executing. It starts with me and all the way down the line."
The Chiefs started the scoring with a Ryan Succop Field Goal, but the Chiefs wouldn't score again in the entire game.
Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers put it more succinctly
"We got beat," he said. "We got beat pretty bad by the Miami Dolphins. At home."
It was an overall brilliant performance by the Dolphins who outplayed the Chiefs in every aspect of the game. They simply dominated the game from start to finish.
But the only bad thing about the win is Andrew Luck is probably not going to Miami.
