Why the Dolphins will beat the Pats in week 1

Over the past few seasons, the New England Patriots have hammered the Dolphins both at home and away. For example, last season the Patriots whipped the Dolphins 41-14 at Sun Life Stadium. Then the Pats hammered them again 38-7 in Foxborough. But to be fair, Tom Brady had one of the best seasons he's had as an NFL quarterback.

But that's not gonna be the case this year however.

The Dolphins offense has been further improved this year with the addition of Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas at running back to replace Ronnie brown and Ricky Williams. Bush and Thomas will give the Pats offensive line a lot of problems with the speed of Bush and the power of Thomas. They will also provide options for Chad Henne in passing situations.

Chad Henne last year was shaky and inconsistent, but Henne will be more confident this year because he will learn from his mistakes and he will be a better QB.

The Dolphins also drafted Edmond Gates which will give Henne more options to explore downfield if he needed to.

The Dolphins also got great news about Jake Long in that he was taken off the PUP list and he was able to train with the team. With Jake Long playing in the defense, that will give the Dolphins a huge boost playing against the Pats.

I would say that a lot of people will not give the Dolphins much of a chance of winning this game, but i think the Dolphins are the suprise package in the AFC East and I think the Dolphins will win 23-17
