Even though this Dolphins team is 2-7, they've never given up and they haven't stopped fighting until the final whistle of every game. They showed that fight and determination against the Washington Redskins.

The win was the first win for the Dolphins in nearly a year. "It was nice to come in this locker room and celebrate a win," Coach Tony Sparano said. "I see 2-7 now as a hill but not a mountain. That's how our players see it, too." Reggie Bush also had two TD's on the day and with the second TD, Bush threw the ball into the stands where Miami fans scrambled for the victory ball.

"The first seven games we were kind of in disarray," Bush said. "We were trying to find our identity. The difference now is we're playing 60 minutes and finishing at the end of games."

For the Redskins, they've now dropped 5 straight and are 3-6. It's the worst losing streak of Mike Shanahan's career.

"It's frustrating being 3-6," Grossman said. "We're better than that." Shanahan said "I thought Rex gave us a chance to win," Shanahan said. "If you have this many guys go down, I didn't want to go with the inexperienced guy and throw him to the wolves."

The Dolphins defense also came away with big turnovers in the game. One of those key moments was when Karlos Dansby intercepted Rex Grossman inside Miami's 5 yard line, which at that time; the score was 13-9. The Dolphins then went 81 yards and scored a touchdown to kill the game.

"I have to be more careful in a crucial point in the game," Grossman said.

Vontae Davis also picked off Grossman. "We made plays that winners make at the end," Sparano said.

Matt Moore finished the game with 209 yards but with an interception and a fumble. Grossman finished with 215 yards but had a passer rating of 58.7

Washington had to settle for three field goals in the day and Gano missed field goals from 50 and 49.

The Dolphins started the game in a wildcat formation which ended in an incomplete pass intended for Marshall. Sparano decided to stick with the basics and the 1 yard TD run from Bush signified that.

"We made plays that winners make at the end," Sparano said.

Even though this Dolphins team hasn't won a lot of games, you have to admire the fact that this team hasn't thrown in the towel yet. This team has been fighting every week and they've never given up. That takes courage and heart and you have to admire what Tony Sparano has done this season, even though they're 2-7.

Next up for the Dolphins is the Struggling Bills and the Redskins are at home to the Dallas Cowboys.
