Texans topple Dolphins 23-13 in Miami

With the game on the line, Andre Johnson found himself being covered by Nolan Carroll. The result was always going to be the same and the Houston Texans toppled the Miami Dolphins in Miami to go 2-0 and to send the Dolphins to 0-2 for the fifth time in six years. Right from the off, Chad Henne never looked comfortable, and the Dolphins hardly had home support considering that half the stadium was empty. 10, 20 years ago, this was never the case.

But Henne showed a perfect example of how he can be brilliant, and how he can be awful. He throws a 400+ yard game against New England, and then he struggles to a 170 yard game. It was painful to watch as the Dolphins lost again at home.

I hate to say it but Miami may have a different QB by the end of the season if Henne keeps up this inconsistency.

This stinks," receiver Brandon Marshall said. "We're trying to get things going in our stadium and our community, and you have to win at home to do that. It's frustrating. It's embarrassing."

Houston opened the scoring in the first when they kicked 2 field goals and led 6-0 until Dan Carpenter kicked a 42 yard field goal to leave the score 6-3 Texans after 1.

But the Texans scored 10 unanswered points, during that time; the Dolphins missed 2 two field goals from less than 35 yards. Houston led at the interval 16-3.

After the break the Dolphins replied back with a TD drive ending with a 12 yard pass to Brandon Marshall making it 16-10.

The Dolphins added a field goal in the early stages of the fourth quarter to make it 16-13. But then the killer pass came from Shaub to Johnson which put the icing on the cake.

It is painful to write about the Dolphins this day, but it's simple. Miami have to get a QB that can be a Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning that can bring them to the playoffs.

I don't think that Henne is the answer for Miami and he may cost Tony Sparano his job.

Hopefully Henne can be more consistent than he is now. But Miami are in trouble and they need to sort it out quickly, or they won't be playing in January again.
