Will Eagles bounce back this week or ever?
The Philadelphia Eagles struggles continue after blowing a 20 point lead and allowing the San Francisco 49ers to stun them and drop them to 1-3. This week they travel to Buffalo to battle the Bills who are the reverse at 3-1 and have already shown that they can beat a big time team. A positive for the Eagles is the fact that Michael Vick said the right thing recently in a weekly interview after practice when he said it’s time to bury the dream team story and get back to business of playing like their capable of and winning games. Vick also stated that the moniker has put pressure and stress on the team which could explain the abysmal performances lately. The question that looms of course is that while nobody expects Vince Young to start any games this season has he caused a rift on yet another team and will the turmoil continue to spiral the Eagles out of control.

Simple logic of course would tell you that there should be some bounce back in the performance and certainly more wins in Philly’s future. The key for them is not only keeping the high profile egos in check but also to get all these high profile players to use their skills in harmony and not individually. The concern still remains on the offensive line where the Eagles desperately need to find a way to stop getting Vick hit. Granted he will still get hit hard when he strolls out of the pocket to make a play or tuck the ball and run but they have to limit the shots he takes while still in the pocket. If they continue to struggle it may cause Vick to miss significant time and if the Eagles want to be the force they expect to they need Michael Vick on the field because I just don’t see a Vince Young or a Kafka as the cog that’s going to get Philadelphia to the Promised Land.
