New York Giants Week 5 and Beyond
Game number two sees the G-MEN host the at least early on upstart Buffalo Bills. In the early going the Bills are 3-1 with their only setback coming this past week when they let the Cincinnati Bengals sneak by them. Many feel that on paper even with the numerous injuries that the Giants are a better team. The Bills have showed some great signs especially when they beat the always tough New England Patriots with 4 INT’s of Tom Brady. This is a difficult game to determine an outcome for because we don’t know if the real Bills are the 3-0 team that beat the Pats or if the real team is the one that flopped against the Bengals. I’m going to guess the Giants will win in a back and forth game just based on the home field advantage. Finally game number three will come after their bye week and it will bring the Miami Dolphins to town. As it stands right now the Dolphins are a total mess sitting at 0-3 with Chad Henne down for the season. The Dolphins are expected to sign Sage Rosenfels as Henne’s replacement which could be an interesting twist especially with some time under his belt with Miami before this game. The reason this could be intriguing lies in the fact that Rosenfels was a backup QB with the Giants last season and spent the majority of camp with New York this season before the Giants brought back David Carr to be Eli’s backup. If there is a trap game in this bunch this could very well be it with Rosenfels knowing how the G-MEN operate. One thing is certain though the Giants absolutely need to win these three games because the remainder of the season is a rocky road of travel.
