Carolina Spanks Denver
The Carolina Panthers spanked the Denver Broncos 30 to 10 on Sunday and continue playing well. The Panther shocked a lot of people when they came out passing in the first drive of the game.
This accomplished two things; it surprised Denver and gave future opponents something to have to work against in practice. Jake Delhomme was 17 of 26 for 253 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Steve Smith had 9 receptions for 165 yards and one touchdown. Williams and Stewart turned in fine performances though neither one went over 100 yards rushing in the Bronco Game. They did what they had to do and the Panthers won easily. Jon Beason had another fine game for the Carolina Panthers defense turning in 9 tackles and one assist. Chris Gamble had 6 solo tackles, one assist and one interception of a Jay Cutler pass. Good Bronco Receivers Marshall and Royal were held to 11 catches and 96 yards between them. However for what I think is the first time all season Julius Peppers had no tackles and was manhandled by the Denver Offensive line. Charles Johnson and Tyler Brayton both had one sack.
