Minnesota faces Green Bay in "Northern Division Collision"
Vikes host The Pack in week #10
Week 10 brings us a “Northern Division Collision” as the Minnesota Vikings welcome the rival Green Bay Packers to the Twin Cities.
The teams are tied for second place in the NFC North with matching 4-4 records. The Vikings beat the Houston Texans 28-21 in Week 9, while Packers lost to the undefeated Tennessee Titans 19-16 in OT.
Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers has stepped in capably in place of Brett Favre this season. He has thrown for 1,982 yard and 13 touchdowns with just five interceptions. In Week 1 against Minnesota, he went 18-for-22 for 178 yards and a touchdown and also had 35 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Minnesota could be without DE Jared Allen for this game, as he suffered a shoulder injury last week. His status is uncertain right now, but it is likely he and the team will do everything they can to get him on the field this Sunday. If Allen is limited or has to miss the game, second-year DE Brian Robison would probably see the field more in his place.
Whoever wins this game could possibly be tied for first in the division. The Chicago Bears, who are currently 5-3, would have to lose obviously. But the Bears get a visit from the undefeated Titans this week, so a loss seems highly possible.
This is an important game for the Vikings, as they will go on the road to play their next two games in Florida. First they will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11, then the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12. If they can beat the Packers at home this week, Minnesota will hit the road on a two game winning streak and with some confidence.
