Who will add-on to their team? The NFL’s best offensive free agents available
I understand that the NFL season is over, but is the season really over? No, of course not in this day and age of big money free agents, profootball-fans.com has got you covered on the players your team needs to push them to the playoffs and maybe even a championship. This year’s group has some big names and some key role players that could make any franchise a playoff contender. In this article we will run down, who we think, are the top two free agents at the positions. So let’s go ahead and look at the top free agents in the class of 2010:
Quarterback:
This was definitely an off year for the skins’ but a great year for Jason Campbell. He had career highs in completion percentage, yards, touchdowns and rating just to name a few. Campbell in the right system could flourish as a quarterback; it will just take the right tutoring from a solid offensive coordinator and a team that is willing to put in the work.
Moore played great down the stretch for the Panthers he led the cats to 4 wins in 5 games and the victories were against some of the NFL’s best teams. If Carolina is wise Moore will be signed and will start next season as he clearly out played Jake Delhomme.
Running Back:
With the potential exit of L.T. from the team, signing Sproles becomes the number one priority for the Chargers. Sproles is an explosive, young back who can create excitement in a heartbeat, now we will see if Sproles can make the change from a backup to a starter from a game to game basis.
Ronnie Brown is the key to the Miami Dolphins, despite an injury that limited his play, when Brown was on the field he was explosive, running the wildcat to perfection. The Dolphins will make him a priority as Brown coming off an injury will look to make big things happen.
Wide Receiver:
Jackson is a big time play maker and a big receiver, with the ability to muscle his way down the field, he also has the ability to go up and make the big plays. Jackson started the season on fire but as the time went on he slowed, but no doubt that he is one of the league’s top receivers and the Chargers will look to sign him immediately.
Dallas in the early stages of the season chose not to re-sign Austin, big mistake! Austin had a career season and his best year by far as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. The receiver this season showed that he is as good as advertised with his 81 catches, 1320 yards and 11 touchdowns, not bad for a guy no one really knew coming into the year.
Those were just a few of the big names on offense that are looking to make the big deal with the team they are with now or maybe with another team that would value their services. Stay tuned here for more looks at the free agent market as in future articles we will take a look at the defensive side of the ball.
