Who is the greatest Super Bowl quarterback of all time?

When we think of the Super Bowl we think of the biggest game, the biggest stage and the biggest time for players to step up and be great. There have been many quarterbacks to grace the NFL’s biggest game; some have played the game many times others only once. We can all remember big name quarterbacks making it to pro football’s biggest stage; from Willie Joe Namath to Doug Williams it seems that the position of quarterback has the world on his shoulders in the Super Bowl. There have been many huge performances in the Super Bowl from the men under center but who is the greatest of all time? Is it Joe Montana with his final second comeback win was it Terry Bradshaw or maybe it was Troy Aikman and his performance with the Dallas Cowboys, needless to say there are many that could be on the list. We will list three of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and you be the judge, who is the greatest Super Bowl quarterback of all time.

1. Joe Montana-San Francisco 49ers

Many would have a hard time saying that Joe Montana was the greatest of all time, but it is so hard to argue against him, he led the 49ers to 4 Super Bowl victories and was named the Super Bowl MVP 3 times. A perfect 4-0 in the big game and he threw 11 touchdown passes with 0 interceptions.

2. Terry Bradshaw-Pittsburgh Steelers

Bradshaw led his team to 4 Super Bowl victories in only 6 seasons and was named Super Bowl MVP in 2 of those games. Terry Bradshaw had an amazing arm and had a swagger that was unmatched by anyone at his position. Bradshaw was 4-0 in Super Bowls and he threw a total of 9 touchdown passes in those games.

3. Troy Aikman-Dallas Cowboys

Aikman was one of the big three in Dallas in the early and mid 90’s, this was one of the best teams ever put together and it showed with the Super Bowl appearances. The Cowboy’s, under Aikman, won 3 Super Bowls and Troy walked away with 1 Super Bowl MVP. Aikman was 3-0 in Super Bowls and in his first SB appearance smoked the Buffalo Bills by throwing 4 touchdown passes.

So we named only three of many that could be on this list, there are many big game players that have played in Super Bowl games and we could create a huge list of all the amazing performances that have taken place. As they say ‘big game players show up in the big games’ and these 3 men showed up big for their teams and for the biggest games of their lives.
