Cleveland Browns vs. Chicago Bears Preview
Nov. 1st 1:00 ET, Line: Chicago - 13
The Browns did the unthinkable, their offense played even worse than the previous weeks which seemed like impossibility. The Statue was 12 of 29 for only 99 yards and added another interception to his already large total. Anderson has thrown 7 interceptions in 4 ½ games with a completion % of 43.8 and a QB rating of 40.6. Yet, the Statue keeps his job, astonishing. Oakland Raider QB JaMarcus Russell has been ridiculed by NFL analysts, players and coaches but his stats are better than the Statue. In 7 starts, Russell has completed 46.3%, thrown 8 interceptions and has a QB rating 47.2. What is Head Coach Eric Mangini thinking by not giving young QB Brady Quinn a shot? That is unexplainable. Mangini stated that the Statue gives him a much better chance of winning. What? The defense showed up again holding Packer QB Aaron Rodgers to 15 of 20 for 246 yards and three scores. They held the vaunted Packer offense to 31 points and kept the game close losing 31-3. The defensive back combination of Toast and Skirt were too much for Rogers and the Packer receivers; there were times they were even in the camera shot after a reception. Mangini and the Browns must have had a tremendous week of practice preparing for the Packers. This week they will look to do the same as they face the Bears in Chicago. The schizophrenic Bears laid an egg in Cincinnati getting pummeled by the Bengals 45-10. Bears QB Jay Cutler threw three interceptions on the day while Matt Forte was held to 24 yards on the ground. The Bear defense was demoralized by the Bengal offense as Carson Palmer threw for 233 yards and 5 touchdowns and former Bear Cedric Benson ran for 189 yards. Unlike the Browns, the 3-3 Bears are still in contention for the NFC North title and a wild card shot and will be ready to play in front of their home fans.

Prediction: Expect more of the same for the Browns as they continue to step backwards. Jay Cutler will have his way with Toast and Skirt as they light up Solider Field with little or no resistance. The Statue will complete under 50% of his passes and continue to turn the ball over at an alarming rate why Brady Quinn can only sit and watch.
Chicago 41 Cleveland 17
Next week we will offer a mid season review of the Browns.
