Indianapolis Colts vs Arizona Cardinals PreviewThe Colts are coming off one of the wackiest wins you will ever see. They only had the ball for 14:53, and gave up over 200 yards rushing. Yet they still found a way to win the game 27-23 over the Dolphins. Next up for the Colts is the pass happy Arizona Cardinals, which you can see on Sunday Night Football on NBC. Kurt Warner is coming off a record setting game where he completed over 90 percent of his passes, setting a new NFL record for completion percentage in a game. The Colts will look to halt the passing attack, as Indy is known as having a solid passing defense. One thing to look forward to this week is the continued improvement of the receivers not named Reggie Wayne. We speak of course specifically of Pierre Garcon. He made the game winning catch to give the Colts the lead late in the game. That is surely give him confidence moving forward. Look for him to have a good game. Austin Collie, on the other hand, is someone we didn’t hear from much on Monday. Look for him to have a bigger role in the offense.
The run defense is something the Colts have always struggled with. I believe that they are still gelling under new defensive coordinator Larry Coyer. Coyer likes to blitz more that the Colts are used to, so give them some time to get acclimated to the system in real game speed. The last thing to look forward to is the running game. It has been non-existent in the first two weeks of the season, and to win in the NFL, you need to have a solid running attack. Look for Joseph Addai and rookie Donald Brown to have a bigger impact in the game. Overall I think the Colts are doing well consider the coaching changes and the injuries to some key positions. They will have a big test against the defending NFC champions on the road, but I think the Colts should come away with the victory to send them to 3-0.
