Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans Recap We must remember that Indianapolis has been here before, this team doesn’t get rattled, this team no matter how far down they may be on the scoreboard they always believe. I ask now, where are all the “so-called” experts that said the Colts’ window is closed or closing, where are all those who said since Coach Dungy is gone Indianapolis will struggle with a new head coach? The Colts’ have sent a message to all those who doubt and they are saying –just believe. They are making a believer out of all who have doubted and are showing that they are the toast of the AFC.
As Houston jumped out to the big lead, Indianapolis began the comeback. The Colts began the comeback on the strength of Peyton Manning’s arm. Manning passed for three touchdowns each one to a different receiver and then the defense stepped up. With Dwight Freeney out with an abdominal injury, they had to step up; with the Colts up 21-20 and Houston with the ball, Matt Schaub threw an interception to Clint Session who ran it back for an Indianapolis score putting them up 28-20, Indy had one more drive with Chad Simpson making a brilliant 20 yard touchdown run with just a couple of minutes left in the game. Houston did tack on a score in the last seconds to make the final Indianapolis 35 Houston 27. The Colts’ continue to win in every form and fashion. Whether it is a come behind win, a blow out win, or a nail biter they find themselves on top at the end of their games. Next up the Tennessee Titans come to town riding a 4 game winning streak and this, for Indianapolis, is another divisional game so it will be a good one.
