Jacksonville Jaguars All-Time Team
Top Ten Jaguars Players
The Jaguars have been an up and down franchise over their years of existence, they have had a few solid seasons but in a division with Indianapolis the division titles are hard to come by. Jacksonville really has had many players that have made the organization great and we will cover just a few in this article:
10. Maurice Jones-Drew-RB
Chances are he will be the #1 Jaguar of all-time when it is all said and done, but right now he comes in at ten. With the strength of a full-back and that speed of a half back, Jones-Drew is a force on the field. In his best season 09’ MJD racked up 1391 yards and 15 touchdowns, he is most definitely on the rise.
9. Paul Spicer-DE
A fierce pass rusher and run stopper, Spicer was one of the keys to that Jaguars defense in his playing days. Spicer’s best year for tackles was in 06’ when he tallied 41; he also liked to make his presence known in the offensive backfield he had a career high in sacks registering 7.5 twice.
8. John Henderson-DL
Henderson is a massive defensive lineman that many offenses have to double if they want to run or pass successful. It was not more evident than in 2002 his rookie season where he tallied 6.5 sacks, his best year for tackles was in 2004 where he accumulated 62 pretty good for a defensive lineman.
7. Mark Brunell-QB
When Jacksonville came out of the gate early on, Brunell was the face of the franchise and rightfully so. In 1996 he had a career year passing for over 4300 yards and in 98’ he passed for 20 touchdowns. He was the key to the Jags offense, as not only could he pass but he was also a good runner.
6. Mike Peterson-LB
Peterson was a high motor linebacker for the Jaguars; he was all over the field at all times. In 2005 it was his best year he racked up 95 tackles and 6 sacks, he was real force for that Jacksonville defense.

5. Tony Boselli-OL
A huge offensive lineman, Boselli was drafted in 95’ in the first round with the 2 nd pick at 6’7” 320lbs. he was the prototypical offensive lineman and a fan favorite in Jacksonville.
4. Kyle Brady-TE
Brady was a reliable tight end, if you need the yards you knew he could get it for you. Tough and hard nosed he fought for every yard; his best year was in 2002 he recorded 43 receptions, 461 yards and 4 touchdowns.
3. Keenan McCardell-WR
An extraordinary possession receiver, he was gritty and graceful, able to make catches that to most would be impossible. He spent 6 years in Jacksonville and had four 1,000 yard receiving seasons.
2. Fred Taylor-RB
A tough running back, he fit the Jags power running game perfectly. He would pound the ball, but if given a crease he could out run the defense. In 2007 he racked up over 1200 yards with 5 touchdowns this by far was his best season in Jacksonville.
1. Jimmy Smith-WR
What every team wants in a wide receiver, Smith just played the game; he went to work every Sunday and came up big. Never very vocal, he let his play speak for itself, for Jacksonville, he had 7 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons and 9 all total for the team.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have struggled in recent years but are looking to make the climb back to greatness. With a solid running game and good quarterback play, they have yet to fill the void left by Jimmy Smith but may have found someone in Mike Sims-Walker but as always time will tell.
