Manning vs. Brady….who’s your pick?

Much has been made about the storied Colts and Patriots rivalry. Two great teams with two great quarterbacks, predictions have gone back and forth and so have the wins. In the early stages the Patriots dominated the series, but Indy has came on of late and made this one of the greatest rivalry in the NFL. Just think New England has Tom Brady, the All-American guy, love him or hate him he has done amazing things at the quarterback position. In 2007 he was the league’s most valuable player and the male athlete of the year, the first since Joe Montana in 1990. On the other side you have Peyton Manning, the genius, many dislike the show he puts on at the line of scrimmage and some think its just a fluke but any way you slice it his mind is always on and if you give him time he will beat you every time. Manning is only one of two to win three league MVP’s, the Colts’ career leader in wins, passing yards and passing touchdowns. Think about it two of the greatest quarterbacks, and they are not done yet, both have had average defenses at times in their career, both have had “no-name” receivers at the end of their passes, and both have just simply won.

They could be at the end of their careers the two best quarterbacks of all time, so who is the best? Everyone has their opinion if you look at head to head series, Brady gets the nod winning the majority of the games, but we like to dig a little deeper. We never just stop with the wins and losses, partly because there are so many factors that make up a great football team. Manning for so long had Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, and Tony Dungy, And Brady has had Randy Moss, Wes Welker, and Bill Belichick but when the game is on the line, who do you want throwing the ball for you? Who would you like to have the ball in their hands with one minute left on the clock down by six? The debate will rage on for years, and even years after they have retired, our kids and their kids will say “So who you got Manning or Brady?”
