Green Bay Packers vs San Francisco 49ers
Packers show that they are a team on a mission after they made a strong statement against the Cowboys last week after dropping the two games prior. Rodgers will have one of his best games this season against the 49ers this week, resulting in Driver and Jennings tearing up the secondary. If history has anything to say about this game, in the last four meetings between these teams the Packers are 4-0. The pack has a good chance of taking it to 5-0. Green Bay is averaging almost 100 more yards per game on offense and allowing 50 yards less on Defense.
The 49ers have been given a second life this season with Alex Smith taking over as QB. Smith has proven himself as a QB that won’t lose the game for you, however, he won’t be a dominate threat to the opposing team. With a running attack led by Frank Gore, the 49ers will try to crack the confidence of the Packers D. If the 49ers can keep the score close, they will continue running the ball and tiring the Packers D-line down; having a chance to make a move in the fourth quarter and play from behind to beat a genuine playoff contender. Look for the Packers to take an early lead and keep it throughout the game. This will eliminate the 49ers running attack and keeping Alex Smith flinging passes downfield. This will keep the Packers secondary, especially Charles Woodson feasting on passes coming their way all afternoon.
