10. Jake Delhomme- QB

Delhomme has struggle in recent years, but early in his career he led Carolina to a Super Bowl appearance. The fiery Cajun was a popular selection with the Panthers for many years but he could be on his way out; he has definitely had memorable times with the Panthers.

9. Stephen Davis-RB

Davis was a key part of the Super Bowl run for the Panthers, a bruising back that had speed. He is up there in ranks with most 100 yard games and touchdowns for Carolina. Stephen Davis was a half back in a full backs’ body and it worked well for the Panthers.

8. Kevin Greene-LB

Greene is third in Panthers history in sacks and second in multi-sack games with 12, his claim to fame was obviously playing in Pittsburgh but when he came to Carolina he brought his dynamic personality and gave the defense a solid presence.

7. Brad Hoover-FB

A huge fan favorite in Carolina, Hoover is an excellent blocker and when the Panthers need a big yard or two they know who can get it for them. Hoover has improved over the years as a good receiving full back out of the back field.

6. Mike Minter-DB

Minter ranks second in interceptions for the Panthers and first with 4 interceptions for touchdowns. Minter is a class act off the field just as he was on the field, a ferocious big hitter he changed the way receivers played against Carolina.

5. Mike Rucker-DL

Rucker is second all time in sacks with 55.5 and third in multi sack games with 11 for the Carolina Panthers. Rucker was a massive presence on the defensive side of the ball and running backs knew where he was at all times.

4. Steve Smith-WR

Smith is the most electrifying wide receiver for the Panthers and possibly in the NFL. He is second all time in receptions, yards, touchdowns, and 100 yard games, but by the end of his career he will be at the top of the list. With the combination of fearlessness and passion for the game he creates nightmares for opposing defenses.

3. Julius Peppers-DE

Career leader in sacks and multi sack games, Peppers is a beast on the defensive side of the ball. At 6’7” he creates a huge problem for any offensive line, with the height and speed he is a tough matchup for any lineman.

2. Mushin Muhammad-WR

“Moose” is a fan favorite in Carolina he ranks as the all time leader in catches and 100 yard games. He is a big receiver that is Carolina’s possession receiver. If you want a catch made you go to Muhammad, he has great hands and can still make the big play.

1. John Kasay-K

The only original Panther still playing, he is Carolina’s all time leading scorer with 1163 pts the next closest has 270 pts. He is the picture of consistency and that is why Carolina has kept him around, not only has he been a fan favorite but he will most likely retire as the Panthers scoring leader.

Carolina has struggled as of recent times but there looks like a change could be coming. With the emergence of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart the future looks bright for the Panthers.
