Vikings Defeat the Cleveland Browns 34-20

It took a little time into the 3rd quarter before the Minnesota Vikings began to pull away from the Cleveland Browns. Brett Favre did a wonderful job managing the quarterback position and not making any mistakes. Once the line and receiver patterns become more refined, Favre will be able to pass a little more. At some point, the Vikings will be in a position to be forced to throw. I predict that the first Packers match-up will be that challenge. Until then, the Vikings must be focused on the team at hand, and to not overlook the weaker teams in the next coming weeks.

The main story for the Vikings is the running of Adrian Peterson. He is a beast and clearly head and shoulders above the rest of the running backs in the league. It was only Cleveland and next week the Lions, but Adrian will be a monster barring injury. His true test will be Green Bay and then Baltimore and Pittsburgh back to back. This is when the offense should be in place, and Brett Favre will need to emerge as a leader and as a passer.
