Mark Wilf, President of the Minnesota Vikings, has not closed the door on the subject of Brett Favre, and what Favre could bring to the organization as quarterback. At a community outreach event in Marshall, Minnesota, Wilf discussed his interest in Favre and explained that he is unaware of any talks between Vikings officials and Brett Favre. This information is completely different than the news from last week.
Another scenario playing out is the fact that the Favre situation is on hold because of x-rays of his shoulder. Based on the severity of the injury, the status of Favre's playing career directly depends upon on a surgery to play.
From what I have gathered, Bus Cook, Favre's agent and the Mark Wilf, President of Vikings will not tell the media what they know, or they simply don't know. Wilf has said that these types of issues and evaluation of free agents are not available to the media.
It is becoming obvious that the Minnesota Vikings organization and Favre's agent are keeping the subject as low key as they can. Those fans who would like to see Favre in a #4 Vikings jersey--there still is hope.
