A story released by Jay Glazer has stirred up the football world. Jay Glazer released almost a guarantee that Brett Favre will show up at the last minute to lead the Minnesota Vikings into the regular season. Glazer gave his personal insight and locker room comments from Viking sources that confirm the inevitable. The local radio stations in Minnesota are burning up the radio wires with Brett Favre talk. Most of the problem with many fans out there is that we are burned out.
My take: If he comes then so be it, but we have moved on.
Tarvaris Jackson has not been helping the gossip of the Brett Favre rumors. In camp and on the field against the Colts, Jackson did not look very good at all. One can say that it is just preseason, but his performance was brutal. I will go out a small limb and say that Sage Rosenfels should be the starter this year. Also, this will probably be the last year for Tarvaris in a Vikings uniform. Brad Childress has been reaching out to this guy in drafts and the football field for four years now, and Tarvaris still looks like a rookie.
The rest of the team is solid. Phil Loadholt looked good most of the time while making rookie mistakes on a few plays. The special teams play looks to be improved so far this year.
