Although not much of a challenge, the Minnesota Vikings beat the Detroit Lions, 27-13. The Vikings have been getting off to a slow start each of the last two weeks. Playing soft teams like the Browns and Lions has helped the Vikings secure their position in the north division. Brett Favre continues to look better each week. Brad Childress made an excellent call by bringing in Tarvaris Jackson and Chestor Taylor for mop-up duty in the 4 th quarter. When the Vikings start playing quality teams such as the back-to-back massacre of the Ravens and Steelers, they will need the win column padding and rested starters. However, I think the 49ers will challenge them at the dome next week.
