Minnesota Vikings: Pro Bowl Instead of Super Bowl
New Orleans Saints 31, Minnesota Vikings 28
Brett Favre brought the Vikings to the championship game, but he lost the championship game all by himself. For a Vikings fan, it was similar to the Packer’s Favre last minute meltdown in a final play against the Giants just a few years back. The Vikings were unable to call Ryan Longwell’s name for the winning kick.
Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin, and Bernard Berrian could not hold on to the ball, the defense allowed 31 points, and the coaching failed with 12 men in the huddle at the end of the 4 th quarter: the Vikings beat themselves because the Saints did not have any answers on offense in the 4 th quarter. Hence, the Saints beat the Vikings in overtime and an opportunity is lost for a Vikings team sending many players to the Pro Bowl instead of the Super Bowl.

The Vikings must take all the positives from 2009 and keep building the team through the draft. Whether Brett Favre comes back or not (which is unlikely after the beating he took against the Saints), the Vikings will still need to address the quarterback position, again.
