Arizona Rattlers: Shootout set in San Jose
The HP Pavilion in San Jose may not hold up to the shootout that is set. The Arizona Rattlers are ranked by AFL.com as the third highest scoring offense in the league with 62 touchdowns and 433 total points. However, the Sabercats are the fourth highest scoring offense with 61 touchdowns and 431 total points. It isn’t enough that this is a divisional match there has been an unspoken tension in the NC West since the beginning of the season. It is true that the Rattlers and Spokane have bad blood but there is something mysterious happening between San Jose and Arizona.
Since the beginning of the season, the Sabercats has been close behind the Rattlers in the divisional race. The Sabercats would dominate teams with their high velocity offense and then watch as the trigger happy Rattlers would snatch victory from the jaws of defeat at the last seconds of multiple games. A vibe is manifesting that the Sabercats feel they should be the prom queen their first year back in the AFL. Statistics and numbers can be thrown around at random. But, this will be a game where all of that will go out the door for emotion. The Rattlers will travel to San Jose with a chip on their shoulder over their fourth defeat to the Spokane Shock. The Sabercats will battle to get out of Arizona’s Shadow. It is this type of game that an analyst throws the papers with the statistics in the air, shrugs his shoulders and just gets ready to watch some fast paced smash-mouth football.
