2009 Review:In 2009 the Arizona Cardinals improved on the 2008 record of 9-7 with a 10-6 finish the first time the club has won 10 games since 1976. The Cardinals have two of the most explosive wide receivers in the game today in Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. Fitzgerald is more of the deep threat with outstanding jumping ability and a knack for grabbing the ball out of the air and Boldin is more of the short range receiver who made many big plays across the middle of the field and turned them into huge gains. At the head of it all is the veteran Kurt Warner he has proven himself with the Rams and now is proving that he can still get it done in Arizona and he has the people believing in this team and what they can do. The defense this season really stood firm with the rise of Darnell Dockett as a bonafide pass rusher and run stopper and the always brutal safety Adrian Wilson protecting the secondary the Cardinals took pride in their defense. When the Cards played the Packers in the playoffs it exploited a lot of weakness in the defensive secondary and if they want to make another step toward a Super Bowl run they must improve defensively and add get Chris Wells involved more in the running attack to help free up the pass game.
2010 Review:It is always hard to say goodbye to someone who has been so good to you but that is what the Cardinals had to do this offseason, saying goodbye to long time quarterback Kurt Warner. Kurt was a major reason for the resurgence of the Arizona Cardinals and he will be missed, and it will really be evident this season. I believe the Cardinals have a good team but with Anquan Boldin going to Baltimore, Karlos Dansby going to Miami, Antrel Rolle going to the Giants and Matt Leinhart taking over as starting quarterback, Arizona may catch a few bumps and bruises along the way in this season. The Cardinals have good solid veterans and a good cast of young players, I believe they can win this year but I don’t think it will be as in years past.
2010 Prediction:Arizona Cardinals: 9-7 (2nd place in NFC West)
