2009 Review:The Cowboys were definitely the team of the 90’s but in the past few years they have had their struggles. Last season they looked poised to make a Super Bowl run and they were well on their way. With the consistent play of Tony Romo and the emergence of Miles Austin and of course the solid play of Jason Witten it seemed that the Cowboys were the team to beat in the NFC. Jerry Jones has always been a winner and has always wanted to win more than anything, so he built the brand new amazing Cowboys Stadium the biggest and best stadium in the NFL. Jones’ philosophy if you give the team every benefit to win they should win and they did. The highlight for most Cowboy fans was the December 19 th game in which they defeated the Saints to end their pursuit for perfection. The most impressive wins in the Cowboys season were the back-to-back victories over the Eagles, first to clinch the division then to win the wild card playoff game. The playoff game was really important that was the first Cowboys playoff win since 1996 and they thought they were back on track but then they met the Vikings. For the Cowboys the hopes of reaching the Super Bowl title were brought to a crashing halt, but they have much to build on for this upcoming season.
2010 Preview:This season the Cowboys are looking to defend their NFC East division title but the competition has gotten a lot better and whole lot tougher. Dallas was not very active in the free agent market but did make some key moves drafting Dez Bryant the talented wide receiver from Oklahoma State to play opposite of Miles Austin. Some key losses for the Cowboys we Flozell Adams, Bobby Carpenter and the loss of Ken Hamlin but just as every Dallas team there is always someone to take the place of those who are gone. Dallas and the high powered offense are looking to improve on the production, while the defense is looking to fill in the holes from last season. With the beast DeMarcus Ware anchoring the defense Dallas will have to add some key pieces to the puzzle to be the complete defensive team. For Dallas the defense is the only hole I see if they improve there they could become title contenders once again.
2010 prediction:Dallas Cowboys: 12-4 (1st place in NFC East) playoffs
