2009 Review:It was the same talk as always going into the 2009 season, talk of Indianapolis being washed up, talk of the Colts not being able to make it happen without Dungy as head coach, etc… The fact is Indianapolis was up to the task and they made a run like always, amidst the doubters and the critics the Colts did what they always do…WIN. In 2008 they were looking to improve on their record where they finished 12-4 winning their 6th AFC South divisional crown. In 2009 they ran the table and after week 15 of the season they were the sole undefeated team in the league, the following week (as they rested the starters) they were defeated by the Jets. The Colts made a heck of a run to find themselves in Super Bowl XLIV where eventually they were beaten by the New Orleans Saints. The Colts must improve in the rushing department, we know they have #18 behind center but the fact remains if they develop a solid rushing attack, Manning with the weapons he has will just be that much better. Another key for 2010 will be to have a healthy Colts team, if they are healthy the will make another run.
2010 Preview:For Indianapolis it is business as usual, the Colts will attempt to win 12 or more games or the eighth consecutive season and win the AFC South division title for the seventh time in eight seasons. The Colts are looking to improve on last season’s success, with the emergence of Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie at the wide receiver position and with veterans Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne remaining consistent the sky is the limit for the Colts. Peyton Manning continues to amaze everyone as teams knew what the Colts were going to do but could do nothing to stop it, now imagine if he has an average running game who knows what could happen. In order for the Colts to become Super Bowl champions they must remain healthy and improve on their rushing game.
2010 Prediction:Indianapolis Colts: 13-3 (1st place in AFC South) playoffs
