2010 Tennessee Titans Schedule

2009 Review:

The Tennessee Titans were looking to have a run similar to the 2008 season when they went 13-3 but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. In 2009 the Titans lost the first 6 games of the season, something that is difficult for any team to rebound from but especially in the NFL. The Titans then won 7 out of their next 8 games before being eliminated from playoff contention in Week 16. Finally Vince Young has stepped up to be the quarterback they were hoping for (we will see if it continues) and Chris Johnson who rushed for over 2000 yards in 2009 has displayed that he is the real deal at running back. The Titans must find solid targets for Young to complete passes and it could possibly open up even more holes for the talented Chris Johnson (scary). During the offseason the Titans must bring in an offensive threat at wide receiver and they must fill holes on the defensive side of the ball.

2010 Preview:

The Titans are a solid rushing team very evident with Chris Johnson and Vince Young in the back field but they must find ways to be better in the passing attack. Young can throw the ball and if they are looking for him to be the bonafide NFL quarterback they must give him targets to be successful. With the loss of Kyle Vanden Bosch on the defensive side they are hoping that drafting Derrick Morgan, defensive end out of Georgia Tech, will fill the void left. Are the Titans playoff contenders? Not with the offense as is right now, if all they are relying on is Johnson to run the ball defenses will stack 8 in the box and it will be difficult for him to have the success he had last season. Can the Titans be successful this season, with Jeff Fisher as coach I believe so he really knows how to win and bring a team together but I don’t know if they can make it happen this season?

2010 Prediction:

Tennessee Titans: 9-7 (3rd place in AFC South)
