2011 Baltimore Ravens Schedule

2010 Review:

The Ravens have the solid defense and it seems as though it has been that way since they reached the Super Bowl years ago. With Ray Lewis and Ed Reed as the staple of the defense Baltimore was known primarily as a defensive team, but it seems as though the offense is ready to make some noise. In 2010 Joe Flacco and his corps of receivers really made the Ravens an offensive threat, and of course let’s not forget the running of Ray Rice. Rice has become the essence of Ravens football with his tough downhill running style it seems as though the offense has tried to mirror the defense in toughness. The Ravens had a successful 2010 season but fell to their division rival in the playoffs and as we know that does not sit well with the Ravens.

2011 Preview:

The Ravens did not make a lot of moves in the free agent market but they did make key acquisitions that will help them win the AFC North. The biggest in my mind was the signing of Vonta Leach to block for Ray Rice, expect Rice to have a stellar Pro Bowl year. The Ravens do have the key pieces to make a run at the Super Bowl but we must remember this defense is not getting any younger so for them the time is now. Joe Flacco has been oft talked about not being a leader but it seems that he knows how to lead a team and it shows on the field. The Ravens hope that in 2011 Joe Cool leads his team over the Steelers in the division and into the promise land.

2011 Prediction:

13-3 (1st place in AFC North)
