2011 NFL Preview > Cleveland Browns Preview2011 Cleveland Browns Football Preview
Head Coach: Pat Shurmur 2010 Record: 5-11 (3rd in AFC North) Did not qualify for the playoffs 2011 Free Agents ,Re-signings or Draft Choices: RB- Brandon Jackson; DT- Phil Taylor (draft) 2011 Cleveland Browns Schedule
2010 Review: The real surprise of 2010 was the emergence of Peyton Hillis the running back for the Cleveland Browns. Hillis was an absolute animal game in and game out for the Browns, with his bruising running style and his soft hands made him a reliable source for Cleveland. With the inconsistency at the quarterback position and the lack of a true no.1 receiver, Hillis was a big majority of the offense for the Browns. The Browns have not found it easy to get into the playoffs but they hope that 2011 will help change their fortunes. Key moves during the offseason will be what will make the difference for the upcoming season. Finding a no.1 receiver and truly naming a starter at quarterback will help get things on track in Cleveland.
2011 Preview: The Browns are hoping that 2011 holds good things for them but unfortunately there were not many moves made during the offseason. It is hard to get better if you don’t add the pieces you need to make you better. With the release of Jake Delhomme that puts the control into the hands of Colt McCoy but the Browns did not address the need at wide receiver so that will make McCoy’s road a little bit harder to travel. Will Hillis have another outstanding season, remember he is on the cover of Madden and we know that does not go well for those in the past. Hillis is really resilient and I believe he will be the main key for the Browns but unfortunately it will not be enough. Sadly, looks like another year of rebuilding for the Browns.
2011 Prediction: 5-11 (4th place in AFC North)
