2011 NFL Preview > Houston Texans Preview2011 Houston Texans Football Preview
Head Coach: Gary Kubiak 2010 Record: 6-10 (3rd in AFC South) Did not qualify for the playoffs 2011 Free Agents ,Re-signings or Draft Choices: CB- Jonathan Joseph; S- Danieal Manning; WR- Jacoby Jones; OT- Rashard Butler; QB- Matt Leinhart; DE- J.J. Watt (draft); FB- Lawrence Vickers
2010 Review: The hope for the Texans in 2010 was to overtake the Colts and the offense for the Texans with Matt Schaub at quarterback and Andre Johnson as the top receiver had the parts in place to make a big run. What was unexpected was the running of Arian Foster, Foster was the top running back in the league in 2010 where the Texans struggled was on the defensive side of the ball. The Texans lost many games by only points and the fact is they are a lot better than the record indicates. Andre Johnson is the most physical wide receiver in the game today and teamed with Arian Foster the Texans have one of the best offenses in the NFL, the key for 2011 will be finding a solid no.2 wide receiver to go opposite Johnson and to sure up the secondary. If the Texans can do these things chances are they could make a playoff run in 2011.
2011 Preview: The Texans are looking to take a step up in the AFC South with arguably the best receiver in the game and a quarterback that is getting better every season, and the emergence of Arian Foster the Texans have found themselves in a solid spot to make a run. If Houston will be considered a playoff contender they must sure up the defensive side of the ball and signing Jonathan Joseph and Danieal Manning will really put pressure on the teams that play against them. If the offense can duplicate the on the field play from last season and the defense can really step up its game the Texans will be looking at a much improved season.
2011 Prediction: 9-7 (2nd place in AFC South)
