2010 Review: The Colts found themselves in a different set of circumstances in 2010, with the other teams in the AFC South gaining ground the start of the season set the stage for the battle that would ensue. The struggle for the Colts has always been on defense and when you give up 200+ yards rushing in the season opener you definitely see what needs to address. At one point Manning and the offense went through a rough patch where turnovers plagued them but they put it back on track and finished first in the AFC South. Throughout the 2010 season the injuries really mounted up and new faces in different places really became the motto for the Colts as they continued in patchwork offense. In order for the Colts to remain on top they must get better on the defensive side of the ball and if they can stay healthy 2011 could be another run for Manning and the Colts.
2011 Preview: New season, new attitude is what the Colts are hoping for as the 2011 season gets ready to kick off the Colts are looking to defend their AFC South crown. With many of the teams in the division getting better through free agency or draft the Colts really needed to make solid moves in order to stay on top. What will hurt for the Colts is the loss of key pieces on defense but additions could play a big part in the Colts success, with the additions of former Pro Bowler Tommie Harris and former first round picks Ernie Sims and Jamaal Anderson the Colts really made moves that many didn’t expect. If the offense stays healthy, the Colts can score with anyone in the NFL. Question is will the defense with all the additions be what takes the Colts back to the Super Bowl?
2011 Prediction: 11-5 (1st place in AFC South)
