2011 Minnesota Vikings Schedule

2010 Review:

It was a rocky time in Minnesota, coming off a story book season in 2009 the magic was gone in 2010. After an amazing season offensively for Brett Favre and the Minnesota offense the 2010 season was one that most Vikings fans would like to forget. This season was the first since 1990 that they finished last in the division, the name of the game for Minnesota ‘injuries’ it seemed as though every week another star was on the injury list. All these trials led to the firing of Vikings coach Brad Childress and so now begins the Leslie Frazier era in Minnesota and they hope it will be one that is full of promise and potential. In order for the Vikings to make it back to the playoffs the key will be to find a replacement for Brett Favre and keep the potential talent that could be entering free agency.

2011 Preview:

A huge overhaul for the Vikings, with the departure of Brett Favre (yes, really) the Vikings needed to find a solid starter at the quarterback position. The biggest surprise may have been in the draft when they took Christian Ponder with there top draft choice, as they look ahead to the future but they need a quarterback now. Enter Donovan McNabb a seasoned veteran that can help Minnesota especially with the dominant Adrian Peterson in the backfield. With the loss of Sydney Rice and Ray Edwards in free agency the Vikings look as though they are in the process of rebuilding, but if Michael Jenkins can fill the void left by Rice, the Vikings may have the offense to grow together and make a good run.

2011 Prediction:

7-9 (4th place in NFC North)
